My story

My passion for civil engineering started at a faculty open day, where I realized it's a lot like building with LEGO - just with bigger pieces and higher stakes for society. Today I focus on creating safe, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

Basics of additive digital technologies for the construction of building elements

As part of the ODDTGES workshops at UL FGG, I learned about modern methods of manufacturing building elements. We learned about 3D printing of cement composites and additive technologies of metals and plastics. We also carried out a short project comparing a classic element and an element made using 3D printing.

As part of a student project, we investigated smart materials, mortars with the addition of phase change material (PCM). We prepared formulations for samples and performed thermal, mechanical and chemical tests on the samples.

As part of the project "Coal-added plaster with new decorative value", we sought an alternative use for lignite from the Velenje coal mine. We prepared formulations and performed mechanical and chemical tests on lime-cement composites.

The influence of different concentrations of metal cations in tailings on the properties of cement and lime-cement mixtures

As part of the project, we investigated mortars in which conventional aggregate was partially replaced with slag aggregate, and observed the influence of heavy metal cations on binding and mechanical properties. We prepared formulations and performed mechanical and chemical analyses.
